Position Overview: Assist in managing and leading the fiduciary accounting responsibilities including responsibility of ensuring a strong system of internal controls are in place to safeguard corporate assets, and that all books and records are prepared accurately and in accordance with US and Mexican rules, regulations, policies and standards. Provide support for the business in new investments and other growth opportunities. Training and Developing the financial teams regarding best practices and internal controls. Principal Accountabilities: 25% Train, supervise and develop clerical and accounting professionals. Identify implications of business strategy in norms, procedures and systems, propose and implement changes when external factors or business needs justify them. 20% Assist Business Unit Controller and Business Unit in defining procedures and norms compliance: Analyze business unit processes and identify fiduciary risks, evaluate costs-benefit of implementation of procedures and controls and make decisions to implement them, monitor the compliance of norms and procedures and take preventive and/or corrective actions when needed. Lead by example in coaching accounting team in developing technical skills. 20% Operate as a member of the management team in delivering analysis, preparation and reporting of financial information and key performance measures to support the BU management. 20% Ensure key accounting and business controls are in place and monitored. 15% Review current processes and systems to ensure controls are in place. Ensure internal control systems that provide effective and efficient operations, reliable financial reporting and compliance with corporate policies. Abilities and General Profile: Required: University degree in Accounting or Finance Knowledge of US GAAPS Good understanding of information systems Risk Management experience, credit risk management and mitigation experience Fluency English High Strong Analytical Skills Project management experience Ability to identify and resolve conflict in an effective and timely manner Demonstrated commitment to internal control Demonstrated ability to interact with and influence all levels of the organization Creative thinking skills to build or improve systems and processes and to provide guidance and support in a growth business environment Demonstrated leadership skills and people management experience.
